Esteli SOS Social Centre

The SOS Social Centre, Esteli helps orphaned and vulnerable children and their families in the local community. It has two community-based projects. Both work with local organisations and community leaders to help about 500 orphaned and vulnerable children and their families in the poorest neighbourhoods. These are families who have little if any food and no medicines. The SOS Social Centre supports the poorest families not only with essential foods and medicines but also with skills training to help families help themselves.

Juigalpa SOS Social Centre

The SOS Social Centre Juigalpa helps orphaned and vulnerable children and their families in the local community. It has a day centre to provide day care for about 300 young (aged from 3 to 10 years) children of working mothers. This ensures that these vulnerable children are cared for in a secure environment and given some basic education as well as food. The SOS Social Centre plans to expand its programme of activites to support more orphaned and vulnerable children and their families in order to help prevent abandonment and to strengthen families.

Leon SOS Social Centre

The SOS Social Centre, Leon helps orphaned and vulnerable children and their families in the local community. It works with local organisations and community leaders to help about 100 orphaned and vulnerable children and their families in the poorest neighbourhoods, who have been scratching a living from collecting from the city dumps. These are families who have little if any food and no medicines. The SOS Social Centre supports the poorest families not only with essential foods and medicines but also with skills training to help families help themselves.

Managua SOS Social Centre

The SOS Social Centre, Managua helps orphaned and vulnerable children and their families in the local community. It works with local organisations and community leaders to help more than 400 orphaned and vulnerable children and their families in the poorest neighbourhoods. These are families who have little if any food and no medicines. The SOS Social Centre supports the poorest families not only with essential foods and medicines but also with skills training to help families help themselves.

Matagalpa SOS Social Centre

The SOS Social Centre Matagalpa helps orphaned and vulnerable children and their families in the local community. It has a day centre to provide day care for about 300 young (aged from 3 to 10 years) children of working mothers. This ensures that these vulnerable children are cared for in a secure environment and given some basic education as well as food. The SOS Social Centre plans to expand its programme of activites to support more orphaned and vulnerable children and their families in order to help prevent abandonment and to strengthen families.
